Who We Are
We are Drew and Jan Coulter, farmers in Central Scotland, renting a mixed hill farm - Northdeanhead
We wanted
- to know the total greenhouse gas emissions from our farm
- so we could understand how big a problem we might have
- when as, we believe, the government and the EU will bring in policies to enforce a reduction of greenhouse gases from all individuals and industries
- thus we would have the facts to challenge calculations imposed by government/EU agencies
Having effectively built a carbon calculator for land based industries we decided to make this available to other farmers and interested people in the land-based industry sector. We have had a lot of help and advice from friends and family and many other people including the staff at Lanarkshire Business Gateway.
We are also very grateful to the LEADER+ program for South Lanarkshire, who gave us a small grant to establish this web site.
